The project generally consists of overlaying approximately 2,601 lineal feet of 30th Ave (existing seal coat road) with Hot Mix Asphalt, installing granular shoulders, installing HMA driveway and side street fillets, and installing granular surfacing on driveways for blending fillets into the existing surface. The work includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the construction of this project. Bids shall be on a Unit Price basis. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8. The successful bidder will be required to provide a corporate surety bond for faithful performance of the contract in an amount equal to 100% of the contract. The bid security shall be 5% of the bid and may be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or bid bond as specified. Sales and Use taxes should not be included in the bid.
