Addition to an educational facility in West Bend, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a 68,266-square-foot, three-story above grade educational facility.
Sealed proposals shall be hand delivered to the WBM Gymnasium & Administration Building, 300 3rd Avenue SW, West Bend, IA 50597, in the Board Room. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the contractor’s name, address, and the bid packages being bid. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security in an amount equal to 5% of the total base bid. The project will be performed under a single prime contract. Bids must be submitted on the approved Bid Form. No oral, facsimile, electronic, or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Work under the proposed contract shall commence upon receipt of the signed contract and is expected to be substantially complete on or before July 30, 2027. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a separate Labor & Payment Bond, each in the amount equal to 100% of its contract price, and insurance. The School Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, re-advertise for new bids, and waive informalities. A preference will be given to products and provisions grown and locally produced within Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor. Plans and specifications governing the construction are available from CMBA Architects, 505 Grand Ave., Spencer, Iowa 51301. A pre-bid conference is scheduled at the WBM School; attendance is not mandatory but recommended. A site visit can be scheduled with the Owner or Architect with at least three days' notice.
