Question Deadline 04/07/2026 Every request for such interpretation or request to use alternate products or materials shall be submitted in writing via online for review by the Tinicum Township Engineer, and to be given consideration, must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. The work consists of the abandonment of an existing 8" Ductile Iron Force Main, and installation of an 8" HDPE Force Main by the directional drilling method, including the installation of manholes within Jansen Avenue from Front Street to South Governor Printz Blvd. Each bidder must submit security in the form of a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid. All required forms and papers must be uploaded prior to the bid deadline. The successful bidder must provide a Contractor's Performance Bond and a Labor and Materialmen's Bond, both in the amount of the accepted bid, and issued by a surety company with no less than an "A" rating. The contract is subject to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates and all applicable laws. The Township may accept or reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Each bid must include a signed surety commitment, Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, Bid Bond or Certified Check, Letter of Intent, Certificate of Authority/Statement Accompanying Proposal, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Public Works Verification Form, and Statement of Bidders Qualifications.
