Sealed bids are required for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the following project improvements: demolition, site utility infrastructure, hardscape construction, electrical improvements, new material storage bin structures, a new fabricated engineered structure (Salt Dome), and a new Salt Conveyor. Separate sealed bids must be submitted for each of the following contracts: Demolition, Earthwork, Site Utilities, Concrete & Concrete Paving, Asphalt Paving, Landscaping, General Trades, Roofing, Electrical, Fabricated Engineered Structures (Salt Dome), and Conveying Equipment (Salt Conveyor). Instructions to bidders include: Download plans, specifications, and proposal forms from the designated Procore webpage by contacting the construction manager. Printed bid documents may also be purchased. All contracts and subcontracts must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Submitted bids must be in a sealed envelope and clearly marked for this project. Bidders will be bound to their bid terms for sixty calendar days after the bid opening. The Village reserves the right to award contracts to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, reject any and all bids, waive irregularities, and accept proposals or portions deemed in the best interest of the Village. Any questions must be directed to the construction manager by a specified deadline, and answers will be distributed to all interested bidders. Successful bidders must post performance and payment bonds and comply with applicable laws, including the Illinois Human Rights Act. Contracts will be executed directly with the Village of Algonquin.
