**As of May 8th, 2026, the project was awarded to Perrin Asphalt Company with an awarded amount of $1,320,451.85** The proposed work includes asphalt planning and resurfacing, asphalt patching, crack sealing, concrete roadway repairs, asphalt and concrete road base repairs, curb ramp and sidewalk replacements, replacement of and installation of new storm structures, removing and relaying brick pavers, and associated work items. Bidders must submit electronic bids through Bid Express, endorsed electronically. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid surety must be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in Ohio, in amounts allowed by Treasury Circular 570. Each bidder must provide evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. Compliance with State Prevailing Wages for Public Improvements in Portage County and the City of Ravenna is mandatory. The Board of Control reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The proposed work under this contract includes asphalt planning and resurfacing, asphalt patching, crack sealing, concrete roadway repairs, asphalt and concrete road base repairs, curb ramp and sidewalk replacements, replacement of and installation of new storm structures, removing and relaying brick pavers, and associated work items. The estimated cost for this project is $1,226,500 without alternate items and $1,420,400 with all alternate items. If the successful bidder had provided a bid guarantee under Option A (a bond for the full amount of the bid), that bond will become the contract bond upon the signing of the Contract. If the successful Bidder had provided a bid guarantee under Option B (a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit for ten (10) percent of the bid), he must furnish satisfactory bond in the full amount of the Contract price in accordance with Paragraph A, Page B-1 of these instructions.
