Site work for a civil project in Lakefield, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Township of Selwyn is requesting tenders from experienced contractors to complete required upgrades within the existing Lakefield Water Treatment Plant Facility. The scope includes fabricating, installing, and testing temporary bypass piping; removing and replacing backwash piping; replacing the plant discharge header with all new valves, couplings, and pipe supports, as well as procuring and installing new discharge piping and valves. Contractors are to procure, supply, install, test, and commission a new 50hp vertical turbine high-lift pump (HLP-504), fully compatible and coordinated with VFD and complete with all accessories for a functional installation, with the pump to be Goulds (Supplied by Summit Water) or National (Supplied by John Brooks Company). The work also includes procuring and installing a VFD for the new 50hp high-lift pump, performing all required electrical upgrades and control wiring, relocating the existing flash mixer, procuring and installing new instruments (pressure gauges, pressure switches, and flowmeters), removing and reinstalling existing instruments (panel boards, pressure gauges, pressure switches, and flowmeters), completing a plant discharge pipe assessment, installing required structural supports, training, testing, and commissioning, and conducting pressure testing and disinfection of piping systems. The water supply and distribution system will remain in operation during construction and commissioning, with all diversions to take place with minimum disruption to facility operation.
