Demolition and site work for an educational facility in Santa Barbara, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility.
Provide all labor, materials, and equipment as required for demolition and replacement of the existing sewer and vent piping systems serving the Industrial Arts Building. The scope includes reconnecting the new drainage systems to the existing sewer infrastructure. The project will also involve the removal and replacement of affected flooring and finished surfaces, restoring them to match the original finishes as indicated in the plans and specifications. All bids must conform to the Contract Documents and be made on the forms provided in the specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by the specified bid security. Pre-qualification Requirements: Contractor License required: B. All bidders and all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing subcontractors must either be pre-qualified at least five business days before the bid opening or submit a completed prequalification package by the stated deadline. Prequalification packages must be submitted by U.S. Mail only. Bidders and subcontractors must be registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 or expressly authorized by Section 1771.1 and registered at the time the contract is awarded. This project is subject to the prevailing wage and compliance monitoring by the Department of Industrial Relations. Participation in the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) Program is required. The successful bidder and its subcontractors must follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the General Conditions.
