The scope of the project is to rehabilitate the existing asphalt surface of Runway 6-24 and Taxiways A and B at the Logan County Airport located outside of Logan, West Virginia. The Base Bid shall consist of the rehabilitation of Runway 6-24 and Additive Alternate No. 2 shall consist of the rehabilitation of Taxi way A. The Base Bid and Additive Alternate No. 2 include removing the existing pavement markings, cleaning the surface and cracks of all deleterious material, repairing existing cracks and joints, applying an emulsified asphalt seal surface treatment, and placing new airfield pavement markings. Additive Alternate No. 1 consists of the rehabilitation of Taxiway B which includes milling the top 2" of existing asphalt, completing a full depth repair of any cracks still present after the initial 2" mill, applying a new 2" layer of WVDOH surface course, and placing new airfield pavement markings. The project will also include mobilization and any other appurtenances required for a complete project detailed by the plans and specifications prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Construction Time Limits- The Contractor will be required to achieve Substantial Completion within 60 calendar days and final completion and readiness for final payment within 90 calendar days of the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be $400.00 per day for each day after the expiration of the construction time. Question Deadline 04/01/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than 7 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Logan County Airport Authority, Logan, West Virginia, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Base Bid and Additive Alternates. The Logan County Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
