NMS Room 21 & Athletic Field Reconstruction Work, New Field House, New Press Box and Toilet Renovations – Track Storage / Restroom 3 Building at the North Middle School. Each proposal must be accompanied by bid security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available at referenced websites. Bidders requiring shipped documents must arrange and pay for packaging and shipping. Hard copies of addenda are available at no charge for registered plan holders. The bid deposit for hard copies will be returned upon receipt of plans and specifications, in good condition, within thirty days after bid date. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals. The School District reserves the right to waive any informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals, and advertise for new proposals if in its opinion the best interest of the School District will be promoted. Bidder may not withdraw its bid until forty-five (45) days after the bid opening, except in accordance with General Municipal Law Section 103(11). If restrictions are imposed as a result of State, Federal, or Local orders, laws, regulations or rules, the Owner may modify the construction schedule, and bidders consent to such modifications without additional compensation, with the sole remedy being an extension of time at the Owner’s discretion. No oral interpretations, instructions, or explanation of the bid documents will be given prior to the opening of the bids. Discrepancies, ambiguities, or doubts as to the intent of the bidding document should be communicated to the Architect in writing for interpretation.
