Sumner-Bonney Lake School District No. 320 in Pierce County is soliciting sealed bids for a general contract involving the parking lot and queuing lanes at Lakeridge Middle School, located at 5909 Myers Road, Bonney Lake, WA 98391. Bids must be submitted either in person at the Maintenance & Operations Building, 19701 104th Street E., Bonney Lake, WA 98391, or via email at Construction@sumnersd.org, and will be accepted until 2:00 pm April 9, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid conference for general contractors will be held at Lakeridge Middle School at 11:00 am March 26, 2026; attendance is required for bid consideration. Each bid should be enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope, marked with the bidder's name, address, and identified as either "Base Bid" or "Alternate Bid" for the Lakeridge Middle School Parking and Queuing project. The bidding and contract process includes compliance with equal employment opportunity provisions, prevailing wage standards, and associated reporting requirements under Washington State Law. Bid documents and addenda are available for free at Builders Exchange of Washington, Inc. On-Line Plan Center (www.bxwa.com), and bidders are encouraged to register to receive notifications about addenda. No bidder may withdraw their proposal for 45 calendar days after the bid opening, unless the award is delayed beyond that period. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in any bid or the bidding process. Question Deadline 03/31/2026 Bidders and Sub-Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request that shall reach the Owner at least nine (9) calendar days prior to the Bid Date. 1. The Site is an existing structure, currently occupied by the School District with District Staff and Students, and will remain occupied during the course of the installation of the generator. a. The contractor shall provide all necessary safety precautions when and if any work is performed within an occupied area. 2. The scope of work consists of: a. Site preparation and TESC: Pre-construction site inspection; utility locates and coordination; selective demolition and removals; installation, maintenance and removal of temporary erosion and sediment control (TESC) Best Management Practices (BMPs); and establishment of segregated work areas to maintain uninterrupted vehicular and pedestrian access to existing driveways. b. Earthwork: Clearing, grubbing, grading, excavation, embankment, compaction, and subgrade preparation within the project limits. c. Stormwater Management: Installation of storm drain piping; catch basins, structures, and connections to the existing onsite conveyance system; construction of underground stormwater detention and water quality facilities, including modular storage systems, flow control structures, treatment units, and all associated appurtenances. d. Electrical and Site Lighting: Removal, protection, relocation, and reinstallation of site electrical and lighting systems as required to accommodate the proposed parking and queuing improvements. e. Pavement and Hardscape Improvements: Construction of asphalt pavement, concrete pavement, curbs, walks, striping, wheel stops, and associated flatwork. f. Landscaping and Restoration: Installation of all landscaping, vegetative restoration, and irrigation system. Includes topsoil, planting, and irrigation system modifications and controls. g. Testing, Inspection, and Closeout: Coordination and provision of inspections, testing, record documentation, and delivery of a complete and operational system
