Site work for a civil project in Negaunee, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
The City of Negaunee invites qualified consulting engineering firms to submit a proposal for engineering services to complete the water, sewer, and pedestrian tunnel design aspects of the US-41/Teal Lake Ave Project. The water portion includes 800 feet of watermain replacement with an estimated cost of $700,000. The sewer portion comprises 960 feet of sanitary sewer main with an estimated cost of $600,000. The pedestrian tunnel's type and cost are unknown. Two copies of the proposal shall be submitted by 1:00 p.m. on March 17, 2026, to the City of Negaunee at PO Box 70, 319 W Case Street, Negaunee, MI 49866, marked "Roundabout PDAP Grant & Utilities Project." Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered. Any questions regarding the project or this RFP should be directed to the City Manager at cmsecretary@cityofnegaunee.com or (906) 475-7700. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, or what is in the best interest of the City.
