The work includes constructing Taxiway 'C' (approximately 25' x 330') at DeWitt Field, Old Town, Maine. The scope may include, but is not limited to: taxiway construction involving excavating native material to subgrade, placing base and subbase aggregate, grading, paving, installing underdrain, pavement markings, runway lighting, and cabling. The project also involves removing pavement and gravel from the old existing taxiway and restoring it with common borrow and topsoil. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked for this project and include bid security of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid, either as a certified check or a proposal guarantee bond by a surety company authorized in the State of Maine. The successful bidder must furnish a 100 percent Performance Bond and a 100 percent Labor and Materials Payment Bond, beginning contract execution within five calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. Construction is contingent on federal funding and subject to all relevant U.S. Department of Transportation/Federal Aviation Administration and Maine Department of Transportation requirements.
