Demolition, site work and new construction of a civil project in Old Town, Maine. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.
The work includes construction of a 40' span steel girder bridge with precast concrete footings, abutments, and bridge deck, and removal of a remnant earth dam immediately upstream of the bridge. The location is on Penobscot Off-Reservation Trust Land on North Loop Road in T2 R9 NWP Maine, just north of Mattamiscontis Lake. The project duration is expected to be 45 days or less for final completion. Contract time will not commence to run until materials can be obtained. Construction is expected to occur between July 15 and September 30, 2026. A certified check or bank draft payable to the owner or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid must be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after receipt of bids unless released by the owner. Bidding documents may be obtained from Penobscot Nation or Dirigo Engineering and are available for purchase in full-size drawing, half-size drawing, compact disc, or electronic transfer formats at specified costs. Prospective bidders are responsible for obtaining bidding documents from the issuing office. Neither the owner nor engineer will be responsible for sets of bidding documents obtained from sources other than the issuing office.
