Site work for a water / sewer project in Long Valley, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work will take place across two separate sanitary systems throughout Washington Township, known as the Schooley's Mountain system and Hager system. The work shall include, but is not limited to, the rehabilitation of approximately 21,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer main, including cleaning, CCTV inspections, heavy cleaning, and cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining; the rehabilitation of 40 manholes, including waterproof coating, patching, and rung replacement; and the bench and invert repair of 3 manholes. The project includes all necessary site clearing and sanitary bypass operations necessary to facilitate the installation of the CIPP lining into the sanitary system, as well as all necessary connections to public water systems as needed to use hot water for curing the CIPP lining system. The Contractor will be responsible for the procurement and supply of all materials, equipment, labor, supervision, permitting, and use of water to complete all work under this project. The Contractor shall follow the specified rules and regulations and facilitate final inspections with the Owner and Engineer before project completion. The anticipated duration to complete the work is 120 days from the Notice to Proceed. The project sponsor has identified that the SED utilization goal for this project is: 10% All bidders are required to comply with all requirements set forth in the Bid Documents. A certified check or cashier's check payable to the WTMUA, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of each bid, but not exceeding $20,000.00, must be deposited by the Bidder along with Surety Consent evidencing the ability to obtain the required Performance Bond. Surety bonds must be written by a company listed on the Federal Treasury List. The project is subject to both Davis Bacon wage rate requirements and New Jersey Prevailing wage rate requirements; the contractor shall use the higher rate in each category of work. This project is expected to be funded in part by NJDEP and NJEIT. All federal and state wage and labor standards provisions apply. The contractor must ensure non-discrimination and, where possible, award contracts to area-owned businesses. Small, Minority and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit bids. Bids over $100,000 must include a written Affirmative Action Plan. Contractors must comply with N.J.A.C. 7:22-9.1 for participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDs), with a goal of 10% of the contract work value. SED Utilization Plans and associated reports are required from the successful bidder. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
