Demolition, site work and new construction of an industrial development in Auburn Univ, Alabama. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 15,108-square-foot industrial development.

The general scope of the work includes but is not limited to: relocation of existing feed bins, demolition of existing wood barn structure and installation of new concrete piers and metal building system. Construction also includes installation of owner provided cattle feeding system, contractor provided cattle railing panels, general concrete work as well as electrical, mechanical and plumbing work. Pre-qualification requirements: In accordance with Code of Alabama, 39-2-2(a), prequalification is required for this project. Install all site protection work shown on Site Plan and specified here-in. 2. The temporary relocation of, the permanent relocation of, and the protection of the existing Silos during the extent of the construction and the construction of a temporary wooden shed, all of which shall remain in place and in service after the Silos have been relocated to the new slab (Item 1). The Contractor shall work around and protect the four relocated Silos and shall repair/replace any of the Silos damaged by Contractor’s forces during construction. The Contractor shall remove the temporary shed once he has relocated the feeding tubes to their permanent location. 3. The complete removal of all above slab wood framed construction. 4. The removal and replacement of perimeter portions of the existing Barn main slab and the existing slabs at the Storage Building and East Canopy to allow for new concrete slabs, concrete turndown slab extensions, footings, drilled piers and “caps”. 5. The construction of the new Metal Building to be constructed above existing and new concrete slabs, concrete drilled piers, and concrete footing caps all as illustrated on the structural drawings. 6. The installation of fifty (50) Calan Feeding Systems at Pens 1 through 5 under the Base Bid and ten (10) Calan Feeding Systems at Pen 6 if the Add Alternate is accepted. 7. Once the project is determined to be substantially complete, the removal of all site fencing, erosion control elements, and construction debris, and the rework of existing grades as necessary to align with existing grades and to provide a positive drainage away from the entire Barn perimeter in all directions, and as described here-in.
