General Requirements - Certification/Training - Certified Payroll - Contractors License Required - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required Bonding Requirements - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for a public works project which consists of maintenance work on portions of City streets located primarily in 3 areas of the City: 1. North of Santa Paula Street, in the areas just west and east of State Route 150 (Ojai Road), 2. South of Santa Paula Street and west of Steckel to Peck Road, 3. McKevett Heights between 8th Street and Loma Vista, including Teague to 6th Street. Additionally the project will include the repair of damaged curb and gutter, the replacement of uplifted or badly damaged sidewalk panels, as well as curb ramp upgrades to address mobility issues along these streets and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvement. Bids shall conform and be responsive to the Contract Documents for the Work. Contract time for completion of the Work shown in the Bidding Documents is 90 Working Days. Once the work is started, it must be continuously performed until completion. Liquidated damages for avoidable delays shall be $1,000.00 per consecutive day in excess of the Contract Time for the completion of the Work. See General Provisions Section 6-9.1 for additional information. The Contractor must possess Class A- General Engineering Contractor license in good standing, issued by the Contractors State License Board, at the time the contract is awarded. No prebid meeting will be held for this project. Bidders are encouraged to visit the project site (which is within the public right-of-way) to perform their own investigations.
