The Mountain Top Public Water Authority is requesting bids for the construction of system upgrades and extensions, which include separate contracts for different scopes. Contract 1 consists of waterline extensions of approximately 43,375 feet of 12", 8", 6", 4" and 2" lines, new meter settings, tank vaults, valves, and related appurtenances for a complete project. Contract 2 involves the construction of a 500,000-gallon steel water storage tank and appurtenances for a complete project. Contract 3 involves the construction of a 200,000-gallon elevated steel water storage tank and appurtenances. Prospective bidders may obtain or examine the bidding documents at the issuing office during designated hours by paying a non-refundable deposit of $200 per set. The cost does not include shipping, which will depend on the delivery method chosen. For all further requirements related to bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the instructions to bidders included in the bidding documents. All iron and steel products used in these projects must be produced in the United States as required by Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference. The following waivers apply to these contracts: De Minimis, Minor Components, Pig iron and direct reduced iron. Attendance at a pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required; contractors may request to meet the engineer at their convenience.
