Demolition, site work and addition to a civil project in Union Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project generally consists of furnishing and installing necessary piping and fittings to install the nitrate removal equipment, re-piping and relocation of existing equipment, construction of the building addition, and furnishing and installation of all electrical equipment and controls. Work is divided into two contracts: Contract A for General/Mechanical Construction, and Contract B for Electrical Construction. All bidders must submit bid security in the amount of ten percent of the total bid, name the Union Township Municipal Authority as the payee or obligee, and ensure the bid is received before the specified deadline. Bids must remain valid for sixty days. Contracts exceeding $10,000 must comply with Executive Orders on Equal Employment Opportunity and related Department of Labor regulations. All contractors must comply with the Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause as required by relevant Pennsylvania Executive Order. The successful bidder will need to execute the Agreement and provide required Performance and Payment Bonds, as well as evidence of insurance. Wages must meet or exceed the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act requirements, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act applies. Bidders and all subcontractors must be qualified for the specified type of project work, with prequalification documentation submitted as outlined in Article 3 of the Instructions to Bidders. Federal and state statutes on environmental pollution prevention and natural resource preservation apply. The Authority reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids, or delete items without affecting the remainder of the bid.
