Site work for a water / sewer project in Holgate, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are requested for water system improvements, specifically Contract A for the installation of a new water transmission main for the Village. The work includes installation of approximately 32,825 linear feet of 8" C900 PVC water main (installation method by Contractor), 14,350 linear feet of 8" RJ C900 PVC water main by horizontal directional drill, 540 linear feet of 10" HDPE water main by horizontal directional drill, 125 linear feet of 8" RJ C900 PVC water main in 18" steel casing by jack & bore, valves, hydrants, tracer wire access boxes, pavement repair, cleanup, site restoration, and all necessary work for a complete installation. The work is to be executed under a Unit Price Contract. Bidders are required to provide a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance with Ohio regulations. Bidders must submit evidence of experience with projects of similar size and complexity, use Ohio products and labor as much as practicable, comply with equal employment opportunity requirements, and prevailing wage rates as determined by the U.S. Secretary of Labor. Bid security is required, and compliance with Build America, Buy America (BABA) and American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements is mandatory. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor defects or reject any or all bids, or accept the lowest most responsible and responsive bid. Submission of a signed bid constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of all contract documents and requirements.
