Johnson County, Indiana will receive sealed bids for the Johnson County Park Pickleball, Basketball and Tennis Courts Project in Nineveh, Indiana. Bid security in the amount of 2% of the bid amount, including alternates, must accompany each bid in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check, payable to the Board of Commissioners of Johnson County, Indiana. The successful bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price prior to execution of contracts. The Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for up to ninety days before awarding contracts. E-mailed or faxed bids will not be accepted. Johnson County Park Pickleball Courts Canopies: 1. Provide, deliver and install four, 10'-0" x 20'-0" rectangular canopies with fabric top, sloped roof similar to the installation at the Pickleball courts at Independence Park in Greenwood (White River Township). (color to be chosen by Owner). The canopies will be positioned in the aisleway between the sets of four courts, see plan. 2. Specifications for Umbrellas: Aluminum Roof Frame, (50mm) minimum, Eave height: 9'-0", Corner posts to be structural steel with a highperformance primer and finish coating (Tnemec or approved equal). Provide base plate and (4) anchor bolts set into concrete footing with bottom of footing at min. 30" below finished grade and top of footing placed min. 8" below finished grade. Provide sealant around asphalt where it meets the steel columns. Must meet all local code requirements for wind, seismic and snow loading. Structural and foundation design of the canopies to be provided by the supplier. 3. Please note that the construction of the Pickleball courts will not begin until later this summer. However, it is absolutely imperative that the footings and columns (or column sleeves) be installed before the final topcoat of asphalt is installed.
