Description

Site work and new construction of a power facility in Pasadena, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility.

Pasadena Water and Power is inviting bids for the construction of a 25 Megawatt utility-scale lithium iron phosphate Battery Energy Storage System with a minimum of four hours storage capability to be built at the Glenarm Power Plant location. The contract is for construction-only services, as the complete design and engineering documents are already finalized and included in the bid package. The selected contractor will be responsible for construction, equipment installation, wiring, termination, and testing within their scope to deliver a fully operational facility compliant with all applicable regulations and codes. Contractors must demonstrate experience with similar lithium-ion utility-scale containerized battery projects or electrical infrastructure projects and be able to deliver the project in full compliance with all safety standards and permitting requirements. The contractor is responsible for construction execution, field coordination, local testing, and completion of all work as defined in the specification and IFC documentation.
