This project involves the furnishing of Asphalt Materials to be used by the Street Department for the year 2026 and the first part of the year 2027. Bidders must submit sealed electronic bids including the title of the bid and project number in the subject line of the submission email, and provide the company/vendor name, address, contact email, and phone number in the body of the email. Bidders must comply with the "City of South Bend EEO Contracting Provision Diversity Utilization" requirements as specified in the contract, including goals for minority manpower and other bid conditions by submitting a sealed bid. Woman and Minority-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate. Bidders are responsible for complying with all submission requirements under Section 6-63 of the Responsible Bidder Ordinance by the opening date. The City reserves the right to request additional information or conduct inquiries into the bidder's past performance, and may reject any or all bids, or accept a full or partial award in the best interests of the City. If both a base bid and any alternates are awarded, the determination of the lowest, responsive, and responsible bid will consider the total cost.
