Renovation of an educational facility in Covington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids for furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the renovation to Taylor Mill Elementary School, 5907 Taylor Mill Road, Covington, Kentucky 41015, for the Kenton County School District will be received. The work will be performed under one contract with the Owner. Bidders may download Bidding Documents as prepared by Emboss DesignPSC at no cost from Lynn Imaging's online planroom. Costs for paper copies are the responsibility of the bidder. A set of Bidding Documents includes one set of drawings and one project manual. A pre-bid meeting will be held for interested parties. All questions requiring additional information or clarification must be submitted to the Architect. Bid Security is required as defined by the Instructions to Bidders and Amendment to the Instructions to Bidders. Any proposed equal for a standard must be submitted to the Architect no later than ten days prior to the bid opening. No fewer than the four apparent low bidders must submit information per DOCUMENT 001153 QUALIFICATION OF BID PROPOSAL, which includes application of any reciprocal preference for resident bidders. The successful Bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount not less than 100% of the Contract Sum. Liquidated damages will be assessed for failure to complete the work within the specified time. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid and to reject any and all bids. No Bidder may modify, withdraw, or cancel his Bid for sixty days from the bid receipt date. Bids, including the Form of Proposal, Non-collusion Affidavit, and Bid Security, should be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope clearly marked with the name of the Project and the Bidder.
