The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: New construction and remodeling of an 17,000-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility. As of March 30, 2026, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. Southern Wells Community Schools, acting through its board, is requesting sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, services, supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary for new construction of the Raiders Activity Center (RAC) and the remodel of the Raider Dome Locker Room. All work for the complete construction of the project shall be performed under one or more prime contracts with the owner. Two copies of bid forms must be submitted on forms provided in the bidding documents and project manual and must be properly executed in accordance with the current edition of the Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96, including a statement of experience, a proposed plan or plans for performing the work, the equipment available for performance, non-collusion affidavit, and financial statement complying with Form 96. Bidders must include a satisfactory bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than 5% of the bidder's total contract price. Prior to approval and execution of the contract, the successful bidder must furnish an approved 100% Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount, covering faithful performance and payment of all obligations. The owner expects to award the contract(s) to the lowest, responsible, and responsive bidder(s) but reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularities in the bidding procedure.
