The work consists of overlaying and restriping the access road and parking lot at the Pine Belt Landfill, including base repairs, crack sealing, and leveling. The Contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and the drawings. Instructions to bidders include: - Proposals must be submitted in duplicate, sealed, and deposited prior to the designated hour and date. - Each bid must be received in a sealed envelope marked as specified and must include the Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the envelope. - A separate attachment stating qualifications to perform the work must be included, listing past similar projects, references with name and telephone number, key personnel for the project, and other supporting information. - Each bid must include a Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to five percent of the bid, payable as bid security. - The successful bidder is required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. - Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. - Non-resident bidders must attach a copy of their resident state's current laws regarding treatment of non-resident contractors. - Contract time is 60 consecutive calendar days from the notice to proceed, with liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for delays. - Bidders must be registered on the online plan holder list to submit a bid. - The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities.
