Description

Site work for a laboratory facility in Boulder, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for site work for a laboratory facility.

Replacing aging solar-powered exterior pole luminaires with new hard-wired pole luminaires at multiple locations on the NIST Boulder Campus requires demolition and removal of existing solar lighting systems, design and installation of new pole bases and LED luminaires, photometric analysis to confirm required lighting levels, and structural pole base design stamped by a Colorado-licensed Professional Engineer. Work includes trenching and backfilling for new electrical conduit runs, installing new electrical circuits connected to nearby building panelboards, restoring all impacted landscaped and hardscaped areas, labeling new equipment in accordance with NIST standards, and coordinating electrical shutdowns. All activities must comply with the National Electrical Code, NIST site standards, and applicable safety and security requirements.
