The project is for De Anza High School Drainage Improvements. The scope of work consists of installing concrete pavement and a moisture control barrier for drainage improvements. Bids must be submitted electronically via the District's online portal. All bids must be on the form provided and conform to the Contract Documents, including Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are required to possess active and in-good-standing State of California Contractor Licenses A and B at the time of bid opening and throughout the contract. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price as security. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The successful bidder and its subcontractors shall pay workers not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California. Bidders and subcontractors must comply with registration and qualification requirements as specified in the Labor Code. The District requires a 5% retention. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder, based on the base bid amount only. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received.
