Demolition, site work and addition to an educational facility in Arp, Texas. Completed plans call for the addition of a 6,100-square-foot educational facility.
26 0020 In general, the project consists of adding approximately 6,100 square feet, four classroom addition, including storm shelter, to the existing Arp Junior High School building. Building construction consists of Demolition, Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, Rough Carpentry, Sheathing, Architectural Cabinets, Bituminous Damp Proofing, Thermal Insulation, Weather Barriers, Fluid-Applied Membrane Air Barriers, Metal Roof/Wall/Soffit Panels, Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) Modified Bituminous Membrane Roofing, Sheet Metal Flashing & Trim, Manufactured Roof Expansion Joints, Roof Accessories, Firestopping, Joint Sealants, Expansion Control, HM Door & Frames (including storm shelters), Tornado Shelter Doors, Flush Wood Doors, Aluminum-Framed Entrances and Storefronts, Wind and Impact Resistant Systems Aluminum Framing, Glazed Aluminum Curtain Walls, Fiberglass-Sandwich-Panel Assemblies, Aluminum Windows, Door Hardware, Glazing, Decorative Films, Drywall, Ceramic Tiling, Acoustical Panel Ceilings, Resilient Base and Accessories, Sheet and Tile Carpeting, Exterior Painting, Interior Painting, Miscellaneous Specialties, Visual Display Units, Identifying Devices, Plastic Toilet Compartments, Toilet, Bath & Laundry Accessories, Fire Protection Cabinets, Blinds, Termite Control, Concrete Paving, Chain Link Fences and Gates, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Communications, Fire Alarm, Earthwork and Site Work. Proposals will be based on a single lump-sum contract for individual work category or selected groups of categories as listed in Instructions to Proposer. Proposals will be awarded based upon purchase price, past performance, safety record, reputation, quality, extent to which goods and services meet Owner's needs, past relationship with Owner and Construction Manager, and any other relevant factor that a private business entity would consider in selecting a vendor. Drawings and specifications are available at the Office of the Construction Manager or may be obtained electronically. HGR General Contractors and Arp ISD reserve the right to require guaranty bonds from any or all subcontractors. There will NOT be a pre-bid for this.
