The Blackstone Valley Vocational Regional School District invites sealed Filed Sub-Bids for Culinary Classroom and Bake Shop Renovation at Blackstone Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School in accordance with the documents prepared by Sorensen Partners | Architects + Planners, Inc. Each Filed Sub-Bidder must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in their listed trade and shall include a Current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder Update Statement with the bid. Project consists of but is not limited to: o Selective demolition of existing plumbing systems within the Culinary Arts and Bake Shop renovation areas. o Installation and modification of water, sewer, vent, and gas piping systems for upgrade of kitchen equipment in the locations indicated in the drawings and specifications. o All other plumbing work noted in the specifications and drawings. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all Filed Sub-Bids, if it is in the public interest to do so, and to award the contract in accordance with the provisions of the law. The Project consists of renovation of a Culinary Classroom and a Bake Shop (Classroom) at a regional technical high school in order for new equipment to be installed. The Project includes all enabling work required to install the new equipment (furnished and installed under a separate contract) and to restore the floor, wall, and ceiling surfaces to a sanitary condition suitable for cooking and instruction. The Culinary Classroom and Bake Shop shall be renovated so as to meet all requirements of the Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the plans and specifications "BVT Culinary Classroom & Bake Shop Renovation" by Sorensen Partners | Architects + Planners, Inc. General Project Information: Provide architectural, mechanical, and plumbing scope of work to support the installation of new kitchen equipment for the Culinary Classroom (3054 square feet) and Bake Shop (1943 square feet) at BVT. The GC will be required to perform all finish work to restore wall, floor, and ceiling finishes to in-kind conditions following demolition of existing items. All walls in both classrooms and adjacent supporting spaces are to be painted. Electrical and Fire Sprinkler work will be performed separately and are to be coordinated with the work of other trades. The Work will include all operations necessary to deliver the two classrooms in a fully installed and operable condition including all utility and site work and obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certificates. Where utilities exist within and adjacent to the building(s) and ancillary parking lots, and are known by the Owner, they have been shown on the site plan(s) appearing in, but not restricted to, the exhibits. Connections to these existing utility lines will be the responsibility of the Contractor.
