Site work and paving for a road / highway in Southport, Manitoba. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Construction of approximately 16km of new road to provide a divided four lane facility and improvements to existing roads. Reconstruction of two interchanges - Falcon Lake Townsite/ Ranch Access and PTH 44 and one fly over of PR 301. New drainage structures and various features to accommodate recreational activities within the provincial park. Location: PTH 1E (5.0km West of PR 301 to the Ontario Boundary). TIMELINE: An RFP for engineering de sign has been issued by the owner. Preliminary design will commence in 2026, detailed design in 2027 & minor prep work/enabling construction work is planned for 2029. Major construction will start in 2030 & be completed in 2034, late works in 2038 & end of warranty period in 2039. Updates will be made upon release of contract award information. Question Acceptance Deadline: 2026/07/16 at 1:00:00 PM EDT. *Estimated project value is greater than $500 million. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com
