The project is located on the Winn Ranger District in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana on FSR 521 at milepost 2.9. The project is approximately 14 miles SSE of Winnfield, Louisiana. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, and expertise necessary to complete the replacement of Bridge 521-2.9 on National Forest System Road 521 over Bear Creek in accordance with FP-03/24 and USDA Forest Service supplements. Work includes mobilization; removal of the existing bridge including piles cut or removed below grade; structural excavation and backfill; placement of Class 2 riprap; placement of crushed aggregate surfacing; installation of 14" x 14" prestressed concrete piles; structural concrete Class A; and installation of multiple precast concrete components including abutment and pier pile caps, wingwalls, backing planks, and prestressed structural concrete members. Reinforcing steel Grade 60 shall be supplied and installed as required. All bidders must certify they have conducted a self-guided inspection of the bridge prior to bid submission. The bridge is closed to all traffic, and bidders are responsible for understanding local conditions affecting performance. Work shall be completed within the established period of performance.
