**As of April 8th, 2026, this project has been awarded to Kies Construction for $749,520.** Shandon High School Septic System Replacement The project consists of the removal and replacement of the existing septic system at Shandon High School, including a new septic tank, new site waste lines, new leach field, and associated site work such as trenching and concrete flatwork replacement. ADA upgrades to the path of travel flatwork and domes are included based on a 20% requirement. All work must be completed by the specified deadline. To bid on this project, bidders must possess a valid California Contractor License "B" or other applicable license and remain in good standing throughout the contract. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the owner, sealed, and adequately labeled. A bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for 10% of the total bid price must accompany each bid as a guarantee. There is a mandatory pre-bid site walk for all prospective bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. All workers must be paid at least the general prevailing wage rate as determined by the Department of Industrial Relations. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities.
