The project includes the construction of up to 10,842 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt, Class 4-inch, PG 64-22, two inches (2) thick, on selected City Streets, including grinding, utility adjustments such as manhole, catch basin, inlet, valve box, monument case and cover, striping, channelization, traffic induction loops, and performing all other work as required by the contract. Access to project bidding documents, including plans, specifications, addenda, bidders list, and other documents, is provided to bidders, subcontractors, and vendors at www.bxwa.com. Bids/proposals must be made upon the City forms provided in the bidding documents and accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid/proposal, in accordance with the bidding documents. A one hundred percent (100%) performance bond (and payment bond, as may be required), on forms provided by the City, will be required of the successful bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the Contract. The bidder must submit a Bidders Questionnaire (WSDOT form 272-022), if applicable, with the bid/proposal as required by Special Provisions. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids/proposals, waive irregularities or informalities, and make the award as deemed in the best interest of the City. The contractor must comply with all local, State, and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to equal employment opportunities and nondiscrimination.
