The project consists of the retrofit and replacement of existing sports field lighting fixtures at Veterans Freedom Park with energy -efficient LED lighting systems , including associated electrical upgrades , polemounted fixtures , wiring , and testing necessary for a complete and operational system . The City reserves the right to schedule or phase portions of the work based on funding availability and operational needs . A pre -bid conference will not be held for this project . Contractors are strongly encouraged to visit the project site and familiarize themselves with existing field conditions prior to submitting a bid . At the time designated for receiving sealed bids on said Project , the bids will be publicly opened, examined and read aloud . The City of Grand Terrace is seeking qualified contractors to provide a complete turnkey retrofit of the existing sports field lighting systems at Veterans Freedom Park with new LED sports lighting equipment . The purpose of this project is to improve lighting performance , reduce energy consumption , and modernize the lighting control system for the sports fields . The Contractor shall furnish all labor , materials , equipment , supervision , transportation , and incidentals necessary to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents . The including project of retrofitting eight (8) existing sports lighting poles with new LED sports lighting systems Six (6) poles serving BaseballField #1 Two (2) poles serving the T-Ball / Little League Field (D2 and D3 ) The retrofit shall include LED luminaires , mounting hardware , electrical components , wiring harnesses , lighting controls , commissioning , and all related electrical work necessary to provide a fully operational sports lighting system .
