This project aims to create an inclusive schoolyard, stimulating and adapted to the four seasons, while promoting greening, outdoor learning and increased physical activity among students. The works plan to remove approximately 150 m2 of asphalt, in order to reduce mineralized surfaces and increase the presence of natural elements. This area will be replaced by a green play area, including the planting of new trees and the integration of wooden obstacle courses, promoting active play and the development of motor skills. The project also includes: o The addition of a climbing wall installed on the side of the building, allowing for diversified physical activities; o The implementation of a shade cloth above the outdoor classroom; o The creation of bleachers, by replacing the existing retaining wall, in order to create a structured space serving as an outdoor classroom; o The addition of two slides near the school building, promoting free play; o The installation of a storage container for physical education equipment as well as for equipment used during the winter season. o Improved stormwater management, particularly through the reduction of impermeable surfaces and the integration of facilities that promote natural water infiltration.
