Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Blackstone, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the asbestos abatement and clearances for the buildings located at 410 and 615 South Harris in the Town of Blackstone, Virginia. The project scope includes the abatement procedures and subsequent clearances necessary for the Town to demolish both buildings. All abatement must comply with the requirements as specified in the project's detailed specifications. Bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-bid meeting on site to inspect the buildings and verify all required amounts of abatement. A bid bond and contract security are required from all bidders regardless of the bid amount. The contract award will be based on the bid amounts at the discretion of the Owner, who reserves the right to accept any bid in part or whole, and to reject all bids if deemed in the Town's best interest. Project specifications required for bidding may be obtained from the office of the designated Architect/Engineer.
