Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Frankton, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project includes asphalt milling and overlay with one and a half inches of HMA surface on various streets and approaches throughout the Town of Frankton. It also includes full depth HMA patching or small areas of full depth reconstruction, as necessary and as directed by Town of Frankton personnel. Concrete sidewalks, curb ramps, and PCCP approaches will be replaced within the project limits as necessary. Thermoplastic pavement markings, signage, and lawn restoration will also occur as necessary and as directed. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the contract documents and accompanied by a cashier's or certified check or an acceptable bidder's bond in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid. The successful bidder must provide a Performance, Maintenance, and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract and must supply all required information in the bid proposal form. Partial payment will be made monthly based on approved payment requests. All contractors and subcontractors must comply with Federal and State labor regulations including Equal Employment Opportunity, Non-segregated Facilities, and Affirmative Action requirements. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or parts thereof and to waive all responsibility for irregularities in bids. Bids may be held by the Town for up to sixty days from the opening date for review and bidder qualification investigation prior to awarding the contract.
