Demolition, site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Providence, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The Department of Administration Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance is seeking qualified general contractors to demolish the Connector Bridge between the Shepard building and Trinity Academy for Performing Arts and Johnson and Wales University. The contractor must restore the facade located on Clemence Street to its original condition by a skilled mason in historic restoration. The repair of the demolition opening must match the historic building's approved brick and mortar finish. All vendors are eligible to respond to this bid. The removal and disposal of the existing masonry connector bridge structure that is approximately 20' wide x 40' long. The connector bridge is elevated over Clemence Street and connects the Shepard Building located at 80 Washington Street to the TAPA School Building / Johnson & Wales building located at 275 Westminster Street Providence, RI 02903. Existing openings caused by the removal of the connector bridge at the face of the Shepard Building and TAPA / Johnson & Wales building will be infilled with new brick and mortar color and composition to match the existing brick and mortar color & composition. All items and components at the interior of the bridge will be removed in their entirety. Existing utilities still are believed to be inactive however it is the responsibility of the contractor to investigate the existing conditions. Disconnect and make all utilities safe if discovered to be active, at no additional cost to the owner. 2. The removal and disposal of the access panel to the connector bridge, which is located in Electric Room 2, will be removed. The opening will be filled with a new stud wall to match the existing. This portion of the work is to be done only after the demolition of the connector bridge and all work associated with infilling exterior openings due to the bridge demolition, is complete. All I.T. and electrical equipment in Electric Room 2 shall be covered with dust barriers during construction to prevent damaging the existing equipment. All interior work shall be accompanied by dust control measures
