This work consists of all mobilization, material, labor, equipment, and incidentals necessary to install three 12-inch insertion valves on the Village owned water main at locations directed by the Village. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. The contractor shall be required to furnish sufficient insurance and guaranty of indemnity to the Village of Park Forest, Illinois against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to the negligence of himself, his employees, or his agents during the construction of said improvement and until said improvement has been fully accepted as complete by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest. No less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. The Village reserves the right to refuse to issue plans, bid forms, and specifications to any person, firm, or corporation that it considers to be unqualified. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Mayor and Board of Trustees. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids, and to make such award as it may deem to be in the best interest of the Village.
