Sealed standard proposals are solicited for work at the Cummings Road Landfill, specifically for the Flare Heatshield and Paint project. The scope includes removing the existing flare heatshields, replacing these and the pins, applying a rigidizer to the surface, and ensuring the heatshields meet specific thickness, density, and temperature ratings (1" thick, 8-pound density, 2700°F for the overlapping layer; 1" thick, 6-pound density, 2400°F for the backing layer; mounted on inconel pins with rigidizer sprayed post installation). The contractor is also required to sandblast the stack per SSPC-SP-6, prime with zinc clad 1 at 3 mls D.F.T., and topcoat with KEM high temp silicone (gray) at 2 mls D.F.T. Bids must cover all described work.
