Site work for a recreation facility in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a recreation facility.
Work is envisioned to follow the Phasing Diagram included within the Drawings. Contractor may propose edits to the proposed phasing. The proposed phasing is outlined below: 1. Coordinate start of Phase A construction with approval of contract and working with Owner's activities. Only begin work that can be complete prior to the 15th of June 2026, so entire building is useable for the 2026 Fair. Otherwise, no construction will occur prior to the 2026 Fair. Contractor shall remove all work materials, trailers, stored items, clean, and vacate site by the 15th of June 2026. 2. Remobilize and begin work of Phase A after the 15th of September 2026. 3. Complete all Phase A work so entire building is useable for the 2027 Fair. Contractor shall remove all work materials, trailers, stored items, clean, and vacate site by the 15th of June 2027. 4. Remobilize and begin work of Phase B after the 15th of September 2027. 5. Complete all work within this contract by the 15th day of June, 2028. Owner reserves the right to reject a proposed subcontractor for reasonable cause. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount no less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Price, made payable to the Owner, or an executed
