The City of Overland is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified service providers for the purpose of providing on-call supportive urban forest tree care services throughout the City of Overland, Missouri, in accordance with provided specifications. The contractor must have the necessary skill and experience to perform quality work as determined by the City and must meet special and specific qualifications set by the City. Four copies of the proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "TREE CARE SERVICES" with the name of the firm and the date and time of the bid opening. The successful bidder must comply with applicable state provisions regarding prevailing wages on public works projects and require all on-site employees to complete a ten-hour OSHA construction safety program within sixty consecutive calendar days of beginning work. All subcontractors' on-site employees must also complete such training. Bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid must accompany the submittal, in the form of a bank draft, certified check, or satisfactory bid bond. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive deficiencies, negotiate terms, and award a contract based on the best interests and requirements of the City, not necessarily to the lowest bidder.
