A. The Work consists of improvements to the Leoni Township Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) ventilation system. During routine recovery cleaning and maintenance of the plant's MBRs, the plant experiences excessive chemical fumes due to off-gassing from bleach and acid-based cleaning solutions. These fumes pose potential health risks and operational challenges. The project aims to modify the existing ventilation system to remove the fumes. B. The Project as a whole consists of improvements to the Township's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) MBR Room ventilation system. Improvements include replacement of existing propeller exhaust fans and motorized dampener actuator, fabrication of aluminum capture hoods, installation of new exhaust fans and a mechanical supply system, removal and capping of existing ductwork, and providing flexible ductwork. Question Deadline 04/08/2026 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The project includes improvements at the WWTP MBR Room Ventilation System. The improvements consist of the demolition of existing ductwork, replacement of propeller exhaust fans and motorized dampers, fabrication of new aluminum capture hoods, installation of new flexible ductwork, new exhaust fans, and a new mechanical supply air system. Bidders are required to obtain and use a complete set of Bidding Documents, are responsible for ensuring the completeness of documents used, and must submit bids on a lump sum basis as set forth in the Bid Form. Bids must include bid security in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid price. A thorough site visit is required prior to bid submission; Bidders must not disturb ongoing operations during such visits and are responsible for restoration of the site if any explorations or tests are conducted. Bids must be submitted using the provided Bid Form, completed in ink, and must include all required documents, acknowledgments, and evidence of authority to do business and, if required, licensure. Subcontractors and Suppliers must be retained as specified in the Bidding Documents, and substitutions are generally not considered prior to contract award. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and evaluate qualifications and responsibility of Bidders as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders.
