Sealed bids are requested for supplying approximately 4,000 tons of gravel for city streets for the period of May 1st, 2026, to May 1st, 2027. The unit bid price per ton must include all costs, material, processing, trucking, royalty, etc., for delivering gravel to a location in Wessington Springs as determined by the Street Superintendent. The bid must specify the unit price per ton along with the location of the source for 1¼” screened gravel, 1” crushed gravel, and base course. Bids must be submitted on Bid Proposal forms available with specifications at the City Finance Office. All bids must be sealed and marked “Gravel Bid.” Additionally, bids are requested for the unit price on approximately 500 tons of South Dakota State Code Class Modified 2A 3/8ths DOT Pink Quartz Chip to be delivered F.O.B. to the City stockpile as directed by the City Street Superintendent. All bids must be stated in tons, not yards. More information and specifications are available at the City Finance Office or Street Shop. All bids for this material must be sealed and marked "Pink Quartz Chip." The City Council reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids received and to waive any irregularities.
