The City of Malden is seeking sealed bids for mowing and basic grounds maintenance services for all city-owned cemeteries, totaling 37 acres. The work includes mowing all grass areas to a uniform height (typically 3-4 inches), trimming around monuments, fences, and other obstacles, blowing clippings from walkways and roads, and removal of trash/debris prior to mowing. The contractor is required to provide all equipment, labor, fuel, and insurance. Bids must be sealed and marked as "Cemetery Groundskeeping Bid." The successful bidder must maintain liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000, file Certificates of Insurance with the City of Malden prior to the start of the contract showing Liability Insurance and Workman's Compensation Insurance, and name the City of Malden as an additional insured with endorsement. A valid City of Malden business or contractor's license is required at the time of contract signing.
