Kingston Access Bus Services (the "Organization") is a charitable, not-for-profit organization operating from a leased facility in Kingston, Ontario. The Organization operates the Kingston Access Bus, which provides transportation to those who are unable to utilize conventional public transportation due to disabilities. The Organization is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors to complete interior facility upgrades. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to select a contractor capable of delivering high-quality work in a staged manner while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. All work must comply with applicable legislation, building codes, accessibility standards, and landlord requirements. The objectives of this project are to: Improve the appearance, functionality, and durability of interior finishes; Upgrade lighting to new, modern, energy-efficient LED systems; Ensure compliance with all applicable building, electrical, fire, and safety codes, laws, and guidelines of all applicable governments, agencies, and departments of the Crown; Allow the Organization to continue operating during construction through phased implementation; and Coordinate effectively with the Organization and the landlord throughout design, approval, and construction. All materials used are to be of sufficient quality and grade for use in an office environment.
