The project involves the renovation of the auto shop in the Desert Building at the College of Southern Idaho, Twin Falls, ID. The scope includes various architectural, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical improvements. Specific work includes replacing existing overhead vehicle exhaust systems, installing owner-provided equipment with associated power, adding a new compressed air dryer with new piping to new locations, replacing existing lights, constructing two new offices within the shop (with associated HVAC and electrical), and demolishing multiple doors to be removed and infilled to separate spaces or departments. Bidders must provide a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, including any add alternates, and hold a Public Works Contractor's License for the State of Idaho. One set of documents is available at no cost to licensed general, mechanical, and electrical contractors with a refundable deposit; others may obtain documents at cost, non-refundable. Electronic documents are available from the office of the Architect at no cost. Question Deadline 04/17/2026 Questions concerning a bid must be directed in writing to the designated Design Professional (architect or engineer) no less than ten (10) calendar days before bids are due unless provided otherwise via an addendum.
