The City of Aberdeen will receive sealed bids for landscape maintenance within the City Limits. Specifications and Bid Forms are available electronically by signing up for updates on the City of Aberdeen website. All bids must be sealed, plainly marked “27-04 LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE,” and delivered to the City Office at 60 N. Parke St., Aberdeen, Maryland 21001, by the specified deadline. All Bids must be submitted (typed or written in ink) on the enclosed Bid Forms. Bids made on any other form will not be considered. Any changes in wording, attachments, additions, or limiting provisions will render the Bid informal and may cause its rejection. The lowest responsible Bidder shall be the basis of award, but qualified bids will be evaluated using the Bid Evaluation Matrix provided as part of the package. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to make an award that best suits its needs. The successful Bidder must submit a performance bond and a payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price, a certificate of insurance, and a W-9 within ten (10) calendar days from the time of notice-of-award. A bid bond or a certified check in the amount of five percent of the Bid amount is required with the submission. Bidders should also note provisions regarding contract completion date, liquidated damages, and cost for City inspection services outside of normal work hours.
