Renovation of a water / sewer project in Aberdeen, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of Aberdeen (City) will receive bids for improvements to the existing Primary Clarifier #2 (PC2) located at its Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant (AWWTP). The scope of this project requires a qualified trade professional to remove specific existing clarifier components, install replacement equipment in coordination with the manufacturer, and perform additional tasks specific to the project in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Aberdeen reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to make an award, if any, that in their opinion will best suit the needs of the City of Aberdeen. A performance bond and a payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price, certificate of insurance from the Bidder's insurance carrier and a W-9 are required within ten (10) calendar days from notice-of-award. A bid bond or a certified check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Bid amount is required with the submission of a Bid. The Owner will return the bonds of all except the three (3) lowest responsible Bidders. The bonds of the two remaining lowest responsible Bidders will be retained until the Contract Agreement has been executed, after which the bid bonds will be returned.
