Renovation of an educational facility in Fairmont, West Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 128,500-square-foot educational facility.
The work generally includes construction of roof replacement and other related work indicated in the bidding documents. Sealed bids for this project are to be submitted to the specified Owner's address. Electronic copies of the bidding documents are available for a non-refundable document access fee. Only full document sets will be issued. Requests for information, substitution, and correspondence are to be submitted in writing and directed to the Architect's administrative email. Addenda will be issued only to registered bidding document holders. Additional paper copies can be requested for a fee. A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held for the purpose of familiarizing bidders with the bidding requirements and to address questions regarding the documents; all potential bidders must attend. Sub-bidders and material suppliers are also encouraged to attend. A Bid Bond executed by the bidder and issued by an approved surety company, equal to five percent of the bid amount, must be submitted with each bid to guarantee contract entrance if awarded. The successful bidder will be required to provide and pay for a satisfactory 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond. Bids may not be withdrawn for thirty days without the Owner's consent. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of interior renovations and site bus route related work and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents: This Contract is for a complete Roof Recovering Project including additional coated glass faced 25 PSI roof insulation added above the original insulation, to provide a finished roof assembly that meets current energy compliance. The original roof is a ballasted 45-mil EPDM ballasted roof. That roof will be replaced with a new fully-adhered 60-mil EPDM membrane applied over a revised insulation assembly. The revised assembly will be comprised of the reuse of the original existing loose laid Polyiso foam overlaid o with new 2.5" thick coated glass faced 25 PSI polyiso insulation. The new roof system will meet current thermal compliance and will provide better resistance against foot traffic. The insulation assembly will be mechanically attached to the existing steel deck. The membrane adhesive will be based on Carlisle's low-odor Cav-Grip III adhesive. Question Deadline 04/01/2026 at 5:00 PM ET.
